ASMPT AMICRA has been awarded the TOP 100 seal 2022, in the 29th round of the prestigious TOP 100 innovation competition, with the award presented only to the most innovative medium-sized companies. On June 24th, ASMPT AMICRA will be personally honored for these achievements by the competition’s mentor and science journalist, Ranga Yogeshwar.
The core of the TOP 100 innovation competition is a scientific selection process that all participants have to undergo. On behalf of compamedia, the organizer of the competition, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team examined the candidate company on more than 100 innovation indicators across five key categories:
In essence, the rigorous TOP 100 analysis process carefully assesses whether each company's innovation is more a product of serendipity, or whether innovation is planned for systematically and is therefore more repeatable as a consistent process in the future. Particular weight in the assessment is given to the issue of whether and how innovations and product improvements are able to sustain their viability in the market.
This year, a total of 436 companies applied. To ensure that all participants have the same chances, the prestigious TOP 100 seal is awarded to companies in three size categories: up to 50 staff; 51 to 200 staff; and more than 200 staff.
On June 24th, these TOP 100 innovators will gather in Frankfurt am Main for the award ceremony at the German SME Summit, and ASMPT AMICRA will be officially honored as one of the TOP 100 recipients by the competition's mentor, science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar, who has been a mentor to this innovation competition for eleven years.
TOP 100: about the competition
Since 1993, compamedia has been awarding the TOP 100 seal for special innovative strength and above-average innovative success to medium-sized companies. The scientific management has been in the hands of Prof. Dr. Nicholas Franke. Franke is the founder and director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. With 25 research awards and over 200 publications, he is one of the leading innovation researchers internationally. TOP 100's mentor is science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar. Project partners are the Fraunhofer Society for the Promotion of Applied Research and the BVMW association of medium-sized companies.
